NASA implements Brand Name Requirement for MicroView Mini Hygrometers at 10×10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel at Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH, USA

MCM’s trace moisture measurement technology continues to support demanding aerospace and aeronautical applications around the world

WETHERBY, ENGLAND — MCM’s MicroView Mini hygrometer technology has been selected for use at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, supporting moisture measurement requirements associated with one of the organisation’s advanced aerospace testing facilities. MicroView Mini technology was selected via a single source RFQ, to the exclusion of all other brands and sensing technologies.

The application forms part of NASA Glenn’s wider testing capability, where tightly controlled environmental conditions are essential to producing accurate, repeatable results.

For MCM, it is another example of MicroView Mini technology being deployed in highly demanding environments where measurement performance, reliability and ease of use are critical.

Designed for demanding environments

Moisture can have a significant impact on high-performance gas systems and test environments.

Even at very low concentrations, changes in moisture can influence operating conditions, affect sensitive equipment and introduce unwanted variables into critical processes.

The MicroView Mini is designed to provide fast, accurate and dependable trace moisture measurement in a compact and straightforward format.

Its combination of measurement performance, rapid response and ease of operation makes it particularly well suited to applications where engineers need confidence in both the measurement and the instrument behind it.

A proven approach to trace moisture measurement

At the heart of the MicroView Mini is MCM’s established silicon-oxide sensor technology.

Developed around decades of experience in moisture measurement, the sensor provides a practical and proven approach to monitoring trace moisture across a wide range of gases and applications.

The result is an instrument designed not only for accuracy, but for long-term usability, maintainability and reliability in real-world operating environments.

Supporting aerospace innovation around the world

MicroView Mini hygrometers are already in operation across a number of major aerospace and aeronautical projects internationally.

From research and development environments to critical gas systems, MCM technology continues to support organisations where precise moisture measurement plays an important role in system performance and reliability.

The latest application at NASA Glenn further demonstrates the versatility of the MicroView Mini and the growing role of MCM technology within advanced aerospace applications.

For nearly six decades, MCM has specialised in the measurement of trace moisture in gases.

Today, that same measurement expertise continues to support some of the world’s most technically demanding applications.
